Do re mi fa sol la si do!
Today I'm going to talk about the Solfeggio frequencies. A lot of people know Solfeggio as a singing technique, a way of identifying musical intervals. It is so much more than that, and I want to really introduce you to these tones and give you the space to feel them for yourself and feel what they are doing in your body and how they are supporting your consciousness. I'm going to start by talking a little bit more about the history of the Solfeggio frequencies, which, in my research, is quite unclear, but I'm going to share with you what history I have found and then break down the specific energetics of each of the Solfeggio tuning fork frequencies.
The Christian roots of the Solfeggio go back to Gregorian chanting in the "Hymn to St. John the Baptist" written by Paul the Deacon in the 8th century AD. Back then, Do-Re-Mi was actually Ut-Re-Mi, and the sound Sa was changed to Si. The musical scale was actually named after the first couple syllables in each line of that hymn — Ut Re Mi Fa Sol La Si. The actual intervals of the Solfeggio are based in mathematics in ratios of 3, 6 and 9. There's a huge gap in history between the 18th century monks and the Gregorian chants and the Pythagorean theory that supposedly the Solfeggio frequencies stem from.
Pythagoras was a Greek philosopher, mathematician and astrologer who lived around 500 BC and a lot of his work was hidden and destroyed. He had knowledge and understanding of the relationship between numbers and words and had understood mathematical systems of translating numbers into elemental solids, into creation and form. The Solfeggio frequencies were rediscovered by a man named Dr. Joseph Puleo in 1974, and from what
I've read about his uncovering of these frequencies, it appears as though he was able to translate the English and Hebrew Bible through intuitive guidance from his non-physical guidance field to unlock the numerical and mathematical codes of the words in the Book of Numbers in the Hebrew Bible. Through this process he found six repeating codes and these codes are the frequencies of the tuning forks. These frequencies have a special relationship and interval and ratio with the numbers 3, 6 and 9.
As you'll see as we go through them, from my perspective of human energetics and the biofield, we have specific codes and geometries that mingle with light, sound and vibration. When the biofield is in a state of harmony, when it has that perfect pitch and tone, each unique template is able to sing — sing through the pure, vibrant life force that pulses through the cells of the body, through the balance of the emotions, the mental, the physical and the spiritual etheric bodies within the energy field. And I do think that the frequencies of the Solfeggio inform the mathematical ratios behind the geometry and the structural order of the biofield to come back into harmony, and that's why certain frequencies you'll see are related to the restructuring of the cells and the healing of the DNA.
So how far back this knowledge actually goes, I do not know. There are those who make connections between the Solfeggio and the ancient Indian musical interval scales called Sagram; and they are different. Sagram has its own version of Do-Re-Mi, different syllable sounds, but that ancient system is also based upon natural intervals and, I'm sure, has its own mathematical relationship behind its frequency structures.
So that being said, I would like to introduce each of the members of the Solfeggio orchestra to you! When you listen to these tuning fork frequencies, it is common to feel energetic movement, including tension or emotions rising to the surface and awarenesses come to mind. It is also notable that the tuning forks produce overtones when their frequencies are activated. When someone comes in greater energetic harmony, the tones become clearer and more harmonically pleasing to the ear.
In the following paragraphs, I'll share with you a little bit of my research of the effects of the Solfeggio frequencies and my interpretation of how these frequencies work.
