3 Secrets for Shifting Back into a Flow State

When life just feels easier and lighter. You find yourself in the right place at the right time, you meet the right people who lead you to the conversations that relay the answers to the questions you’ve been having. Your intuition guides you from one activity to the next, and you feel bursts of creative inspiration that lead you to the next satisfying experience.


Life feels easy and relaxed in a state of flow, but how often do we actually get to experience that?


Stress is common to all humans, but how we choose to move through it drastically changes our perspective and life experiences.


Here are 3 energetic pointers to help you get back into a state of flow when you’re feeling overwhelmed or triggered.


1. Put your car into Neutral.


If you’ve ever driven a stick shift vehicle, you know that you have to get back into neutral before you shift gears. The same is true energetically. If you’re feeling stressed or anxious and you shift gears into another activity or distraction before “getting into neutral,” you end up carrying that same stress frequency into your next experience.


So how do you do it?


First, make a choice that you’re going to consciously shift how you feel. That in and of itself already starts changing your perspective from a narrow to a broader lens.


This next part has several options. Some things work better for some people more than others. The point is to become mindful of how you feel and your environment.


You can stop to listen to your surroundings, notice your breath, feel your hands and feet, notice the difference between the right and left side sensations of your body, or start naming objects in your surrounding environment … which leads me to the next tip.
